Polaris Afterschool Yoga & Craft Camp (March 2023)

Meeting Times: Wednesdays 03/01- 03/29 from 12:45-3:15 PM (no class on the 15th as it is Spring Break)

Would you like your child to learn simple relaxation techniques to help calm the body and manage strong feelings? Or practice positive thinking to help gain confidence in their abilities? How about learning physical exercises that increase attention and self control? Or even developing community and experiencing support in a group with opportunities to both lead and follow?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this after-school camp is for your kiddo!! We will be utilizing the 8 limbs of yoga through yoga poses, outdoor play, fun social-emotional learning games, sustainable crafts, reading aloud and individually, taking time for a snack, and enjoying a short reflective period.

This is a FOUR week long class that will take place on Wednesdays at Polaris from 12:45 (early release time)- 3:15. Start date is March 1st and the last date is March 29th. If you want your child to continue the class, you are welcome to sign up for the April camp. It is open to 5-13 year olds. Every camp we offer is different and geared toward the ages of kids that are registered. Older campers will have the opportunity, if they desire, to practice leadership in COVID-safe assistant roles throughout each class. Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, snacks, and a book or journal. 

During the cold weather months, we will meet in Mikole's room. We will still have outdoor time everyday- please help your child be preapred for outside play. As soon as the weather is nice enough, we will set up for fully outdoor classes again. Yoga mats and props will be provided. Everything will be throughly disinfected before and after use. We will now be providing a gluten free snack during class time!!! Kids are always welcome to bring their own snack, but we had a lot of fun sharing in our gift-making camp that we are keeping the routine going. We can accomodate other food allergies and intolerances- please note your child's needs on the registration form.

***The suggested price is $85 (or $75/child when registering more than one child per family). When registering your child, please choose an amount that works for your family. We are a Pay-It forward donation studio, which means will accept any student regardless of abilty to pay. If there is space, no child will be turned away. Offering lower or no cost health and wellness events to everyone helps stengthen our community as a whole. When you generously pay-it-forward through your donation ABOVE the suggested full price, you are a direct part of that strengthening. If you wish to pay by cash or check, please use the email below to arrange registration and payment. If you register online you will immediately receive a confirmation email. Everyone, regardless of how you registered, will receive another email a few days before camp starts, detailing day-of-camp information.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Fees will be refunded if cancellation is made THREE (3) weeks prior to the program start. In all cases a 15% administrative fee will be retained.

10% of all proceeds from this camp will be donated directly to the Polaris PTO.
